Behavioral Medicine

Behavioral Medicine at Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D.

I AM HERE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.

Some psychologists treat things that you may believe is for just physicians. I work with doctors improving your quality of life.

“Behaviorial medicine” is a general term for one of my clinical specialties. In fact, I am the author of five books used by other mental health professionals about the link between medicine and mental health. I can help.

Many common problems qualify: diabetes, hypertension, stress, circulation problems, headaches, fatigue, parenting, hyperactivity, and other syndromes overlapping psychological services and health care.

Included in this topic are weight control and smoking cessation, and other lifestyle choices. You might be on medicines for this, but I help in other, novel scientifically based ways. I can help.

I am also a trained neuropsychologist. These services include mental measurements, assessing memory and concentration, IQ, attention deficit problems, traumatic brain injury (TBI), the senile dementias and other problems of aging. Often, with underperforming students, I work with the school psychologist or after a closed head injury with an attorney to assess and to report or testify on these problems.

Often, if I treat you, you have a primary care physician with whom I coordinate my professional services. This may include psychotropic medication with a psychiatrist.

We all know that health care is very specialized. I will help you navigate your health care based on my relationships in the community.

These interventions sometimes include special services, biofeedback and other forms of feedback to learn to identify and to master your reactions. I am here to help in a focused, concrete way. Don't go it alone. Call Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D. today. He is the only one who listens to your phone calls and messages. Remember, all communications are private and confidential.
