Marriage Counseling

Marriage Counseling at Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D.

I AM HERE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.

It is hard to imagine that during a marriage there are not better days than others. On your wedding day, it is hard to imagine that one day you might be seeking marriage counseling. However, things change. We live in a complex world torn in many directions.

Some stressors and conflicts can be anticipated, as what are known as "normal life span" problems: marriage, children, parenting, schooling, finances, sex, communication and other so called "normal problems of living." Thus, if you are experiencing a problem in your marriage, for all you know it is "normal" and anticipated, but to you it is a major crisis and concern.

I will listen to you are provide constructive feedback about all this and what to do about it. I can help clarify whatever is happening and take immediate steps to address it. There are many common pitfalls in all marriages and many tips how to deal with everyday situations.

Some marital problems have to be immediately addressed at many levels. If there is a revelation of infidelity, domestic abuse, alcoholism and alienation these require an immediate professional intervention. Be confident and optimistic. I handle these problems in my practice. Be assured that I can deal with them.

A successful marriage is about adapting to change and maintaining communication. A common early complaint causing you to think you may have problems is not wanting to go home and walking on eggshells. Another manifestation of poor couple communication is problems in the bedroom. I am a Certified Sex Therapist, its own clinical specialty. I can help men and woman achieve a more satisfactory sex life and how that relates to couple communication.

The first step is simple enough - you need to commit to marriage counseling. Sometimes one spouse come in motivated to elicit support from the other. I will help in this regard if clinically appropriate.

The first session clarifies what brought you here and your shared goals. It is fairly common for one or both of you to be skeptical that the process will help or that your therapist will be impartial. I am impartial and will organize a treatment program so you feel more in control working together rather than apart.

Don't go it alone. Call Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D. today. He is the only one who listens to your phone calls and messages. Remember, all communications are private and confidential.
