Parenting

Parenting at Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D.

I AM HERE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.

IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. IT IS HARDER!

I can help you become a better parent. I will teach you the tools to be a more effective parent.

I specialize in short-term interventions. A clinical focus in parenting is to (1) increase desirable child behavior, (2) improve parent-child interactions and (3) bring about a positive family atmosphere. This includes (1) establishing realistic expectations for children's behavior at particular ages, (2) talking more clearly and positively with children and (3) working effectively with school personnel to help children develop academically and socially.

Do these situations sound familiar?

  • Your teenager does not listen.

  • Your nine year old does not clean his room.

  • Your child gets "sick" and avoids school.

  • The only way your kids listen is if you yell and threaten them.

  • Your kids spend four hours a day online social networking sites.

  • Your stepdaughter only listens to her "real" mother.

Maybe something has happened in your home life to cause some acting up by your children. Or, perhaps it is a normal and expected social-developmental problem. In either case, you might be having trouble dealing with it and have no place to turn.

Being a parent is always demanding. Every age has its "problems" and challenges. Raising a human being is hard work. There are some "tricks to the trade" that you can learn that are helpful to make you a more effective caregiver. It is not rocket science. It is harder!

Don't go it alone. Call Dr. Reid Daitzman, Ph.D. today. He is the only one who listens to your phone calls and messages. Remember, all communications are private and confidential.
